La Porte Newsletter | November 2011Dear Friends, It’s the end of November already, although it hasn’t felt like it. The lovely warm weather has continued with 20° afternoons and eating lunch outside. At La Porte we have been busy with ongoing sales and with buyers from Belgium, Switzerland, Holland and UK. The difficulties of the financial markets and the problems within the Eurozone continue and look as though they will be around for a while. But there are always opportunities – for instance - the strengthening of the Pound against the Euro giving UK buyers a stronger hand, and the slowing of the prices means there are some bargains to be had. We have taken on some interesting properties this month. Here’s a selection below, including a magnificent 14th century armoury near Bergerac, a great equestrian property, a lovely restored farmhouse with 3ha in Deux-Sèvres (our reputation is spreading!) and an ensemble of 3 stone houses near Molieres. Thanks for the positive comments on the Newsletter and we hope that you continue to enjoy our blogs. If you prefer not to receive the Newsletter, then you can unsubscribe below.
